Christmas Gems

To: Blanche Monroe, December 19, 1918

This Christmas card may seem to late
But still my wish is true.
I wish just heaps of pretty things
From Santa Claus to you.

I wish you all the joy that comes
With the Merry Christmas time.
I send best wishes and my love
In this little Christmas rhyme.

To: Mr.  & Mrs. Geo. Burgess, December 25, 1918

Old friends, or new friends
What matters it to me.
All friends are dear friends
Wherever they may be.

To: Rev. & Mrs. Larrick, December 1918

I wish you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year too,
And may God send your boy safe home
Is my best wish for you.

1918

I cannot send a Christmas gift
But I can send this greeting,
May you meet Santa Christmas day
And have a pleasant meeting.

December 18, 1918

I have a little Christmas wish
I think you’ll like it too,
I wish whole heaps of pretty things
From Santa Claus to you.
